Logo

Logo was designed to convey idea of all-natural source of wool. Pashmina Fabric is derived ethically from goat belly by combing unlike sheep shearing.

Considering rich history and references of Pashmina fashion worn by aristocracy and nobility in past, it was easy to represent that in logo with a classic heritage like logo design but I choose to go with modern style of logo with symbolism. It will be easy to sell timeless art praised by many also give a way to implement modern fashion design and explore upcoming apparel trends.

Logotype is classic serif font to convey authenticity and traditional luxury.

  • Natural origin of fabric

  • Wool ball pattern + Goat (Changra, Ladakh Pashmina goat)

  • Clean and easily recognizatble

Research

A proper research was done to find out Consumer groups, Buying habits, Lifestyle Choices. It was done to understand decision making before buying an Luxury product online.
Here are the three main point that was identified by deep research and Competitors.

  • Existing Cashmere/Pashmina Brands don’t properly focus on Authority and Authenticity

  • Many luxury buyer care if the original maker, Weavers and artisans get proper share and reward for their craft

  • New trends of luxury buyers were observed where it matters if sustainability and ethical practices followed.

Consumer Personas

Designing for more than just a luxury buyer

Pashmina is not purchased for a single reason. For some, it represents heritage and prestige. For others, it is a conscious luxury purchase or a meaningful gift.

To understand these motivations, I identified three core audience segments and mapped the common ground between them.

Traditional Elites

Luxury rooted in heritage

Traditional Elites see authentic Pashmina as an investment in culture, craftsmanship, and family legacy.

They value provenance, authenticity and timeless quality over trends or price. Their purchase is often emotionally connected to preserving something meaningful for the next generation.

Key Motivations

  • Heritage & tradition
  • Authentic craftsmanship
  • Exclusivity
  • Long-term value
  • Family legacy

Sustainable Luxury Consumers

Buy less. Buy better.

This audience approaches luxury with a more conscious mindset. They want to understand where a product comes from, who made it, and how people and animals were treated along the way.

For them, luxury is increasingly defined by transparency, ethics and responsible craftsmanship.

Key Motivations

  • Ethical sourcing
  • Sustainability
  • Transparency
  • Artisan craftsmanship
  • Quality over quantity

The Gift Giver

A gift with a story

For gift buyers, Pashmina needs to feel more meaningful than a conventional luxury product.

They are looking for something that communicates thoughtfulness, craftsmanship and timeless elegance—a gift that carries a story with it.

Key Motivations

  • Emotional value
  • Beautiful presentation
  • Storytelling
  • Craftsmanship
  • Timeless appeal

These insights defined not only who we were designing for, but what the experience needed to communicate. The next step was translating these motivations into a digital experience that felt as considered as the craft itself.

Wireframes

It all started with rough sketch on a paper. Later converted to low-fidelity wireframes to test user flow and highlight possible pain points.

Website is expected to have 3000+ inventory so many design elements were introduced to increase product’s discoverability. for example on products page few circle below header section to show all sub-categories/ prominent colors / trending styles. so user don’t have to scroll too many pages. following findings from user personas research was kept in mind while designing wireframes

Build trust

Make authenticity, provenance and craftsmanship easy to understand.

Tell the story

Move beyond product specifications and communicate the people, process and heritage behind each Pashmina.

Make conscious choices visible

Surface information around ethical sourcing, artisans and sustainability without overwhelming the user.

Design for gifting

Support the emotional side of purchasing through presentation, storytelling and gift-oriented journeys.

Custom solutions

Personalisation

Personalization was strong point of initial sale. It was an introduction for many new user. This is entry point of high value pashmina buying.
A personalization widget was design on homepage. User can select fabric > color > input for Monogram/initials(handmade) > Choose font style > Preview. Preview is generated on image and can be shared through link and emails.

Video Explainers

Two different layout for product listing page were designed. One for entry level products and one for special/ one of a kind products. Special products are handmade in 2-3 years and truly only one exist in word. So to highlight more about those products I used video sections on below Buy not button. Video in these section can display closeup of product and intricate design elements.

Artisan

Brand truly believe in giving attention to those artisan who are behind these amazing products. So a dedicated carousel style section was design to honor those artisans. Each artisan have their own dedicated blog style introduction page. The detail page was designed with a proper design system so it can accommodate different kind on media (photo/video/gallery), formatting options like quotes etc.
