Project Overview
Connecting Hearts is a modern matrimonial and matchmaking mobile application designed to help young unmarried and married individuals find compatible life partners based on preferences, values, hobbies, and lifestyle choices.
Traditional matrimonial platforms often feel outdated, complex, and transactional. Our goal was to design a platform that feels warm, intuitive, trustworthy, and emotionally engaging, while maintaining serious matchmaking intent.

Traditional matrimonial applications rely heavily on static biodata, long forms, and rigid filtering. This often leads to user fatigue, poor emotional connection, and high onboarding drop-offs.

Target Audience
Primary Users
The primary target audience included young professionals aged 21 to 38, primarily from urban and semi-urban regions, who are serious about long-term relationships.
Secondary Users
Secondary users included divorced or widowed individuals seeking companionship and families managing profiles on behalf of their children.
Design Strategy and Approach
Emotional Experience
The visual and interaction design focused on warmth, simplicity, and emotional engagement through soft colors, friendly micro-interactions, and conversational copy.
Smart Onboarding
Profile creation was broken into simple, step-based flows to reduce cognitive load and improve completion rates.
Intelligent Matching
Matching logic extended beyond traditional filters like age and location, incorporating hobbies, interests, values, and lifestyle preferences.
Trust and Safety
Profile verification, privacy settings, and reporting mechanisms were deeply integrated to build user confidence and platform credibility.
UI Design System
Visual Language
The interface is clean, minimal, and warm, blending soft gradients, rounded elements, and neutral backgrounds to create a calming experience.
Typography and Readability
Typography choices emphasize clarity, friendliness, and accessibility, ensuring readability across all device sizes.
Interaction Design
Micro-interactions provide subtle emotional feedback, reinforcing delight and ease of use.
User Journey and Flow
The user journey was designed to feel seamless, intuitive, and emotionally guided, starting from onboarding and profile creation, moving through preference selection and match discovery, and culminating in meaningful conversations.
Each step was optimized to minimize friction and encourage engagement.
Wireframing and UI Evolution
The design process moved systematically from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity UI, continuously testing for usability, clarity, and emotional impact.
Each iteration refined layout, hierarchy, and interaction flows to achieve an optimal user experience.
Final Product
The final interface delivers a seamless, emotionally warm, and intuitive matchmaking experience, with key screens including onboarding, profile setup, match discovery, profile viewing, messaging, and preference filtering.
